I am a user on MoDaCo forums. And I´ve been following what @PaulOBrien have to say on twitter, danmm that guy works fast at rooting phones.
While I diden´t dare rooting my phone manually, he and the forum is the reason I found unrevoked and got my phone rooted:)
This is an expression that I am uncertain of myself in handeling everything correctly and not messing up even though I´ve got a how to on it, and not any way of saying pauls work isen´t good enough, I am sure it is.
I trust him and his work, just not myself good enough.
And when I found unrevoked 3 then why go at it the hard way when there was the easy?
Anyway I wanted to point Paul´s “App of the day” feed out to you, a blog feed about Android apps worth mentioning.Here is his

But the app in paticular I want to bring to your attention is the combimation he´s found with this app and live wallpaper, an awsome find and a super cool combination go here to read about it.
It´s an app combo on the Android market. (you need access to paid apps, if you haven´t got it see my post about Rooting Android phones)
It displays your local weather information as an animated live wallpaper. How cool is that:)

Android now become most popular mobile phones and tablets OS. Most useful features are found in there. I think in the future, it can be replace for Windows. What do you think ?
While Android is super cool I think it will “only” be the king of the smartphones, Tablets obviously, yea sure it´ll dominate that area of devices also, but I don´t think it will ever become a mayor player on the Desktop, and thus it will not replace Windows.
Why I don´t see this happening is that the OS is build in Java, all apps are developed as far as I know, in a special “Java Environment” no I don´t mean IDE, I mean a special set of packs and Android Dev Tools that is lying “on top” of Java. Don´t get me wrong Java is a powerful language but Microsoft is still to big a player unfortunately and C# too widely used, for instance in Gaming development.
I can see Android being a pendant to all the different Linux flavors out there, but Android will have the same problems that Linux is having gaining ground. *Nearly* everybody learns Windows as their primary OS, the curious use Linux (like myself, but Linux is not my primary OS, because of my “weakness” I am a gamer) but Linux haven´t gained the Mainstream flow that Windows have, neither have Mac OS X for that matter, and I think Android would be fighting the same fight that Linux is fighting to gain popularity as a Desktop OS.
